I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing the SUPER talented Annachristie out in Joshua Tree a few months back. The shoot started off in an empty pool, Annachristie plugged in her electric guitar and started to sing. Her voice was simply memorizing. She continued to sing as I snapped photos of her in action. I stopped taking photos a few times JUST so that I could listen to the melodic timbre of her voice.

Annachristie transformed to me another place in time. A place in time where I use to sing everywhere I went and there was never not a song on my lips.. I am not sure where those days went, but I love how Annachristie reminded me that no matter the twists and turns that life may take you, you always have your music by your side!

Annachristie was unique, fun, entertaining and she had a truly beautiful soul; photographing her was probably one of my most favorite editorials that I’ve shot for Desert Magazine.

I absolutely love being the editorial fashion photographer for Desert Magazine, it’s a dream job for sure!! What’s not to swoon about??? I have the opportunity to get together with some amazingly talented friends and play dress up in the great outdoors!!!

The March issue for Desert Magazine was photographed at Makerville located near Idyllwild Ca. Although we were shooting ‘Spring Fashion’ the mountain temperatures the day of the shoot were in the mid 40’s and there was snow on the mountain tops. Our STUNNING models Jen Hawkins and Shafia West from NoTies Model Management were serious pros; although they were freezing most of the day they didn’t complain one bit–The two beauties just bundled up in Jackets and blankets between each shot and dreamed of warm sandy beaches! 

The cool mountain air and winter light set the scene for our ethereal shoot; I swear that we were creating magic that day at Makerville… It won’t be a shoot that I will soon forget.
